Fassurhood

imagined by: James Mathias

Today I realized I’ve been a “dad” for almost eight years now, I also discovered that I’ve learned a few things along the way. I’d like to impart this wisdom to my readers, so please enjoy my little bit of parenthood wisdom.

1.) Your child’s smile is the best cure for stress, depression and general bad days.

2.) Never, ever mention something to your child that might be fun for them, that you are not willing/ready to do right that second.

3.) Hugs and kisses never get old.

4.) Kids have bad days too.

5.) Listen to your child, they know more that you realize.

6.) Enjoy being a parent, it’s very fleeting.

Well that’s the important stuff, if anyone else has anything to add please do. I feel being a father is the most important thing I’ll ever do, so I love hearing about other father’s experiences.

You know the score, keep it clean and on topic. “Spammers” & “trolls” are decimated on sight.

Absolutely. If you say you are going to do something and you don’t, be prepared for the most awful feeling ever. There is nothing worse than a child’s disappoinment.

true dat, mang.

7.) Never, ever, ever ever ever let your kids see you doing something you wouldn’t let them do 10 minutes earlier. Their memories last a lot longer than you expect. From one Fassur to anussur. Damn you, Spongebob!

lol, that is so true. I add an extra ever, maybe and extra never ever.

#2 lol sooooo true. #8 never let your 4 year old child see you use the remote, speed dial your spouse or anything else you don’t want them to be able to access themselves. They only have to see it once and then they can use whatever they want…. I have recieved way too many speed dial calls from my friends 4 year old. Gage is allowed to watch a tivo’d show once, but he now knows how to restart it and will continuously do so until I realize that his 1/2 hour show is going on 1:10…..

lol, all true, all true.
