Kiss, Kiss Bang, Bang

imagined by: James Mathias

A couple of weeks ago I told you about one of those summer movies that get’s no play and turns out to be fantastic. Well, I’ve found another one.

Kiss, Kiss Bang, Bang is the wittiest movie I’ve ever seen. The story is a loose detective thriller plus girl meets boy divided by a gay hollywood detective consultant times murder mystery with intelligent, quick dialouge squared.

I loved this film from beginning to end, it was pure entertainment. The chemistry between Kilmer and Downey was amazing, they made a perfect team add to that the sexual tension from Monaghan’s character and you’ve got a top-notch offering.

It’s definately some of Downey’s best work, I think the last movie I enjoyed him in was Less Than Zero which is a terrible statement on his career, to be fair though I have not seen Good Night, and Good Luck yet.

The movie moves at a quick pace, so you need to pay attention, and listen as the jokes come hard and fast, but sometimes so subtle you’ll miss them if you look away. The entire time I felt like I was tagging along with much cooler and wittier people then myself.

I throughly enjoyed this movie, and I want to watch it again and again. Please rent it, the summer is obviously the place to find great films that studios have overlooked!

You know the score, keep it clean and on topic. “Spammers” & “trolls” are decimated on sight.

And you’ve just reconfirmed my desire to see this movie. I had mentioned to my roommate that we should watch it last week—needless to say we haven’t yet. Oh well, maybe I’ll rent it myself and give it a watch.

YES! Definately watch it. Did you get a chance to see Running Scared yet?

We had the DVD for like 5 days, but life got in the way.

You should re-rent it.

Layer Cake is good too, if you like British Gangster movies.

Thanks John, I’ll check it out. Yeah definately, I dig Daniel Craig’s work.
