Holiday Joy

It is a little known fact that I love Christmas. Everything about it makes me smile.
Trimmed trees. Holiday music. Bright sparkling decorations. The overall feeling of love and joy abounding throughout all. The smell of hot cocoa. The anticipation. Advent Calendars. The mystery and allure of magical happenings. The movies. The warmth of true unconditional love that you can only experience from family and close friends. Putting bows on things. Wrapping presents. Buying presents. Surprises. Gratification. Faux snowflakes. Smiles. Santa Clause and all his reindeer. Chestnuts roasting on an open fire (OK I’ve never actually experienced this, what with central heating being all the rage these days, but I love the idea and the thought.) OK, I’ve gone on long enough and I haven’t a real point. So allow me to just say…

I like everything about Christmas except having to walk in the freezing cold to find a tree to cut down.
