Still Death

imagined by: James Mathias

He stalks the darkness, near the lake, slowly pursuing his quarry, a need unfulfilled, a lust he must satisfy, running is fruitless, hiding will only delay the inevitable, give yourself unto him, he who stalks the darkness.

Drawn on printer paper, using a BIC mechanical pencil, inked using Micron .005 and .05 mm black ink pens, scanned into Photoshop CS2, resized, cleaned and prepared for color. Colored using a custom brush I created for a rough watercolor effect, shading done with a rough cell-shading technique. All while listening to Keane, Raconteurs, The Shins, How I became the Bomb and Bare Naked Ladies all on shuffle in iTunes.

It’d been a long time since I produced a color peice for your enjoyment, so I hope this satisfies your inner desires. smile

Enjoy or not and see you tomorrow.

You know the score, keep it clean and on topic. “Spammers” & “trolls” are decimated on sight.

See, dude, I don’t care if you don’t like the quality of sites like Cafe Press, but if you _just did it_ you’d make extra cash and I’d have a metric _ass_ ton of crazy shirts.

blank stare

James Mathias

I suppose if there were enough of a demand, I could set up a Cafe press shop for shirts.

Lelia Katherine Thomas

Really cool work here. Reminds me a bit of the Gorillaz style. smile

Colin Devroe

I’d buy one, this guy rules.

James Mathias

Lelia and Colin thank you.

Glad you like it! I’m considering doing a series of horror movie characters in this style, going to attempt Freddy today and if he comes out well, I’ll consider that a sign to continue forward.

Tee’s might be something to use Cafe press for.

FANTASTIC image.

Wow… I love it James.

James Mathias

Thank you Roger, I appreciate it. I really love how it came out, it’s on my short list for favs at the end of the year.
