Deadly, merciless and capable of breathing underwater the Merninja is the world’s most dangerous mythological creature.

This evening I received my first “Daily Drawing” request, I hadn’t really opened up to requests but I didn’t plan on getting any, so I hadn’t given it much thought.

Justin Ruckman, 9ruler and fellow art community member requested I draw a “Merninja” my first thought was; “What’s a Merninja?” I asked and it turned out to be the obvious, a Mermaid Ninja.

I thought it was a fun request so I fulfilled it tonight, luckily for Justin, I hadn’t yet begun today’s drawing.

Drawn on printer paper with Micron pens, scanned and resized in Photoshop. While listening to the SXSW mini-mix from Michael Eades over at yewknee.com (I’m convinced that eventually Michael will return the link love, maybe not.)
