Lack of Creativity
imagined by: James Mathias
For those of you reading this, those that have stuck with me through the rather enormous gap in original, creative content, for which I’ve prided myself. To those proud few, I feel I owe this post, this explanation, this excuse.
As of late I’ve been feeling drained creatively, artistically and emotionally. I have lots of great ideas, but neither the time nor energy to bring any to fruition.
I apologize, it’s really my own fault, I’ve overloaded myself with so much and the recent issues with my son Bryce and the not so recent birth of my youngest son, which is now a year ago in 9 days… WOW.
The weight loss battle/war.
The stress of work. The toying with/seriously considering going to work for Apple and a few others.
The desire to move forward and not become stagnant has in fact made me stagnant.
I want to be relevant, I want to create something good.
I want to find what it is I’m searching for.
I want to write more, I want to blog about web design, I want to do a FIT vlog, I want to do a puppet show, I want to play guitar, I want to finish my current work load, I want to keep losing weight, I want to join my peers in Austin in March, I want to redesign leihu, I want to finish Motif Lab, I want to paint skateboards, I want to make t-shirts (for real this time), I want to make a short film, I want to finish my novel and get it published.
Time, there is so little and so much of it.
Sorry, thanks for listening to my apology turned rant.
I need to make a list and focus and complete each task one at a time.

I feel your pain, James. I always feel like I have hundreds of creative ideas but no plans. Just know that you can’t force creativity, it’ll come when it comes.

We know talented people and we know about stress. I know I’ll keep reading amd coming back. Why? I’m a fan.

Baby, don’t be so hard on yourself, please. All the things you mentioned take commitment, which you have and lots of patience. They will come and be done. But you have to forgive yourself if they don’t happen exactly when you want them to. Keep fighting, and never give up!
Liam and Bryce and Cameron and I all love and adore you so very much!!!

I know what you’re going through. I can never get ideas to fruition.
I’m going to try the Everyman sleep schedule as from what I’ve heard - a friend of mine is currently doing it - it seems to be a very affective, yet simple method of gaining more time. With your status as self employed, I think it could potentially be an effective solution.

The second one is quite good.
Have a good one.

We all keep reading, James. Your readership is rock solid (as far as I can tell) so don’t worry much about the readers. Everyone’s life gets crazy.

I think that for the most part, James… you’re preaching to the choir.
We get it. Most of us probably live in the same space as you do, trying desperately to cram more into our already busy lives.
No need to explain.

Amen to that.

No need to apologize
I can completely relate, except the possible hire from Apple. hehe.
It seems like there are so many balls in the air to juggle, and if you look away for a sec, another will get added.
I feel like I’ve been in a creative rut for about 5 yrs.
I really enjoy visiting here and the FITadel for inspiration.
Your doing great!
