Hangin’ Around

Triangle-man had found it quite awful when he learned of the accident that Circle Boy had experienced. Apparently during a routine battle movement involving his knife and left arm, Circle Boy flubbed the graceful swipe motion and ended up removing–from crime fighting service–his arm.

It’s believed by both Triangle-man and his comrade Circle Boy, that this was some sort of governmental conspiracy to take the duo out of action due to a increasingly large number of vigilante reports coming in to the local and state police offices about the pair.

Reports of largely endowed fat men in green spandex suits, with sidekicks that vaguely resembled “Shy Guys with knives” from Super Mario Bros. 2 were piling up, desks overflowing. Detectives were not baffled or lost in the investigation to the identity of these “men” whom fought crime after hours. No, in fact everyone on the force knew exactly who was behind the masked crusaders, and no one in the department was the least bit concerned about the two.

Jon Houser aka Triangle-man, was the Mayors son, and he was a rampant homosexual, who felt fighting crime was his mission in life, as god had given him a gift and he should use it for good. He was a good boy and well-meaning, but he was a little off on what the specific use of his gift should be. Jon is particularly well endowed, and would have made any gay-porn-star blush and hue green with envy. His true path should have taken him into the world of porn, but Jon was convinced that his penis was meant to stop criminals in their tracks, not slap his co-stars in their backs.

Stephen Collins aka Circle Boy, wasn’t a boy at all, he was a forty-seven year old man, whom happened to be very short for his age. His gift was that of being able to wield an ordinary kitchen butcher knife as if it were a sword and he often used this ability to fight and defeat nefarious elements in and around the sleepy town he had called home for the last twenty of his forty-seven years. Stephen had been friends with Jon–seventeen years his junior–for the last four years, two of those spent discussing and planning their new identities and lives as “Fighters of Evil” and “Correctors of Wrong Doing”. The last two spent putting those late nights and costumes to good use.

The night Circle Boy removed his pesky arm, was the same night Jon discovered another use of his gift and–unfortunately for Stephens arm–was unavailable for rounds. Hence his feelings of guilt and remorse at wanting to quit the work altogether and move on using his gift in the new way he had discovered earlier that evening, after having fallen backwards off his chair naked directly after his shower.

Of course Stephen was in no mood to discuss the end of their union and wouldn’t allow Jon to complete any of the necessary sentences to get his point across. So here we are another five years after the accident, and Jon (Triangle-man) and Stephen (Circle Boy) are getting ready for another night of vigilante exercises, in the ongoing war against the ne’er do wells and the ruffians that pollute the town streets at night when the cops are sleeping.

This week was “Heroes” on IF, so I drew the guys above. Enjoy.
